What Brought Us Here?

Have ever thou enquired what brought us here?
This place with no end seems fraught, strange, and odd.
The stars at night witnessed do not appear
at morning when the Sun above glows hard.

The souls that long ago this planet trod
have gone now missing and cannot be found;
We’re born, we bide, believing there is God,
but death then happens, knell becomes the sound.

What haps to those dead though a question mark.
Men come, men go, men live in lands forlorn,
but on a sad day they depart, no life, no spark.

Could thou declare today where all shall go?
